About the books: Three books in regional language (Marathi) explaining children rights using the cartoon assets provided by Sony television team.
These 16 page books are fully illustrated with minimum text and covers designs that look like comic books.
Audience: Grade 1 and 2 children
Software used : Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw and handmade sketches (Pencils and pens on paper)
About the Project:
While collaborating with Cropmarx Design we made three books with the use of Honey Bunny - Sab Jholmaal Hai assets provided by the Sony Team. Honey bunny is a cartoon aired on Sony Yay Channel for children.
The project required us to generate story line, ideas and concepts using the assets provided from the client. With the help of Anagha Inamdar, I worked on the story lines, concepts, storyboards, layouts and creation of illustrations and actual book design.
About Each Book:
Book 1-
Title : Ammu Amanchya Gosti Honey Bunny Sobat - Gost Shuddha Panyachi [Stories of Ammu- Aman with Honey-Bunny - Story of Clean Water]
Child Right - Right to water
Story line- Explaining the importance of the clean safe drinking water.
Book 2-
Title : Ammu Amanchya Gosti Honey Bunny Sobat - Gost Shalet Janyachi [Stories of Ammu- Aman with Honey-Bunny - Story of Going to School]
Child Right - Right to education
Story line- A story about situations children face and how schools can help them continue education at such times.
Book 3-
Title : Ammu Amanchya Gosti Honey Bunny Sobat - Gost Swacchtechi [Stories of Ammu- Aman with Honey-Bunny - Story of Cleanliness]
Child Right - Right to health
Story line- Story explaining importance of cleanliness and the issues/ diseases caused due to unhygienic conditions and places.
Project Process:
The project had fairly simple milestones- write the story and get it approved, find and get the assets confirmed. Once these two were in place start designing the book.

Image creation process:
Once sketch was finalized, the assets and new elements were complied and created in Photoshop. The final compilation was made in Corel draw.

This project was one of a kind where we didn't have a story from the start. I learned quiet a few thing during this project. Highlight being -
1. Writing a story. Since I am a visual person and not someone who writes much, this project helped me break my comfort zone and I played with words not just the visuals. And the end result was quiet pleasing.
The whole process was fun.

2. Learned to work with already created assets and create new ones/ illustrations that would suit an already created style.
I am glad I could give my best and deliver finished, polished books to the client.
